Service Description
In this engaging three-week course, you’ll be guided through the creation of a complete architectural watercolour illustration. You’ll develop freehand drawing skills alongside essential watercolour techniques, learning how to capture the character and structure of buildings with confidence. Each two-hour session is relaxed and supportive, allowing you to work alongside others while progressing step by step from sketch to finished piece. Working from a carefully chosen building of moderate complexity, you’ll explore: Fundamental architectural sketching techniques Professional freehand drawing methods Traditional watercolour approaches Core principles of perspective and proportion This welcoming workshop is ideal for anyone interested in architecture, travel sketching, or urban illustration. No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and enthusiasm. With a friendly atmosphere and complimentary tea and coffee, you’ll be encouraged to learn at your own pace. By the end of the course, you’ll have a completed architectural watercolour portrait and a solid foundation to continue developing your skills with confidence. The course structure: Day 1: Pencil drawing of the building. Day 2: defining the design, adding characters (optional), going over the lines with ink. Day 3: Watercolour introduction and painting of the building Mondays 16th and 23rd Feb, 2nd March 7-9pm
