In this engaging three-week course, you'll learn to create stunning architectural watercolour portraits, developing both freehand drawing skills and watercolour techniques to capture the character and detail of buildings. Each 90-minute session builds your confidence as you work alongside fellow artists to complete your own architectural illustration from start to finish. Working with a carefully selected building of moderate complexity, you'll master: Fundamental architectural sketching techniques Professional freehand drawing methods Traditional watercolour approaches Essential perspective and proportion skills Whether you're fascinated by architecture, travel sketching, or urban illustration, this welcoming workshop provides the perfect foundation. No previous artistic experience is needed - just bring your patience and enthusiasm. Our supportive environment allows you to develop at your own pace, with complimentary tea and coffee helping to create a relaxed, sociable atmosphere. This enlightening series teaches you more than just techniques - it helps you develop your own distinctive artistic voice while understanding the principles behind architectural illustration. Over the three weeks, you'll witness your skills evolve as you create a finished piece that captures the essence and charm of your chosen building. Each session builds upon the last, allowing you to gradually develop confidence and proficiency in both drawing and painting. By the end of the course, you'll have acquired a comprehensive understanding of architectural illustration, along with a completed building portrait that showcases your newly developed skills.
